They are the most comfortable shoes I have had, so I wanted to try some boots. I ordered my regular Gentle Souls size, and the boots fit great with a medium sock. I feel the boots are very comfortable. I can and I have worn them walking all day, and they give me the support I need. I will agree with the other reviewer that I don't consider Kenneth Cole shoes to be comfort shoes. BUT Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole are not ordinary Kenneth Cole Shoes. Gentle Souls shoes are a comfort brand with very soft insoles and nice leather. The boots were not designed to be "warm" boots; however, they are warmer than many other fashion boots because they have a thicker sole - your feet stay further from the cold ground, so I do find them to be pretty warm. These boots are well made and will last for a long time. Found a pair I liked & ordered it. They are comfortable, but not "heavenly" as they've been described other places. I didn't know that they are part of the Kenneth Cole brand until the box showed up at my home. Maybe that is why the people who compliment the comfort feel that they are wonderful. I definitely do not think that Kenneth Cole is a brand known for comfort.These boots are made of nice, soft leather and they fit well. I don't think they would be comfortable for my usual long walks around Chicago. For that, I would require a shoe or boot with more arch support. These boots are also not insulated at all, so they would not be warm boots. They are definitely "fashion" boots instead.
